| Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME) is the headquarters of the Yamaha Motor Company in Europe and is responsible for coordinating the marketing, sales and service activities of Yamaha motor products. Main products are: motorcycles and scooters, marine outboard motors, inflatable boats, water vehicles, 4-wheel all terrain vehicles (ATV's), golf cars, generators and snowmobiles. Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., where about 130 people are employed, is located at Schiphol-Rijk. The Product Development department is part of the Parts & Accessories division. Within the department we continuously improve and extend the range of accessories for all Yamaha motorized products. This to strengthen further the Yamaha position in the market and create a stronger image and enjoyment of our products. To extend our dynamic team we are looking for an enthusiastic Product Manager Function As Product Manager you are responsible for the development of new parts and accessories. You either work independent or in a team depending on the projects, in order to define the technical specifications for the new parts & accessories. You act as a true project manager controlling all aspects in order to make each project a success. Besides this you maintain contacts with internal departments like Sales & Marketing, Purchase & Inventory, European distributors and development centres. Externally you visit suppliers, keep in touch with design companies and homologation institutes. You perform benchmarks in order to determine product requirements. To secure our quality you set criteria for both product and supplier and follow all necessary approvals and legislations Requirements HTS mechanical engineering / Automotive; Up to 4 years of working experience in a similar product management role; In possession of motorcycle license and affinity with motorcycles is necessary; Experience with technical design and engineering is preferential; Excellent in written and spoken English, other language is preferential; Experience with MS office Word/Excel/PowerPoint; Excellent communicative and social skills in an international environment; Analytical thinking, creativity, accuracy and able to apply strict deadlines; Willingness to travel frequently; Interest and/or experience for production technique & Cad/cam.
