| Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME) is the headquarters of the Yamaha Motor Company in Europe. The company is responsible for coordinating the marketing, sales, Logistics and service activities of Yamaha Motor products. Main products are motorcycles and scooters (Powered Two Wheelers), marine outboard motors, inflatable boats, water vehicles, 4-wheel all terrain vehicles (ATV’s), golf cars, generators and snowmobiles. For our Parts & Accessory Division and within the Purchase & Inventory Department we are looking for a fulltime Buyer Bolt-on (Metal) and Non Captive You will execute the following tasks: • Define and implement the purchase plan and the appropriate supplier strategy for the Metal/Non Captive/Racing/Marine/Yamaha factory accessories sub groups. • Regularly perform the supplier selection process in order to have an optimum and adequate supplier base, which can be invited for tendering in order to select the best Yamaha product. • Secure in the specification process with Product Development and Suppliers optimal functional and detail specifications in the field of logistic, commercial and quality. • Negotiate with the selected suppliers the specific terms (cost, logistic, innovation and quality) and put these into a contract. • Maintain, educate, develop and further optimize the relationship with the supplier, to reduce the total costs, to improve the quality, to shorten the time to market and to make innovative and competitive products. • Devise and make month reports. • Initiate and participate in occasional short and medium term projects. • Train, support, direct, motivate and check the Purchase & Inventory Coordinator and Administrator. The candidate we have in mind possesses the following qualities: • A relevant Higher Professional Education (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) completed with Nevi I and Nevi II (asset). • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a relevant business. • Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written. • Experienced with standard MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel and Access. • Excellent negotiation skills, communication and presentation skills, feeling for cultural differences, able to set priorities, technical and logistics insight, analytical abilities. • Affinity with our products and our business is an advantage • Flexible attitude and prepared to frequently travel abroad.
