Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., the European head office, coordinates the marketing, sales, logistic and service activities of all Yamaha Motor products in Europe. For the further development of our in-house legal practice we are looking for a: Legal Counsel Intellectual Property & Compliance Tasks and responsibilities: You will further develop the in-house legal practice with a focus on intellectual property and compliance. The activities have legal as well as organizational aspects. Your main tasks will be to evolve and execute the brand licensing policies and activities in Europe, drafting and reviewing license and similar contracts and controlling infringements. Furthermore you will be responsible for the contract management system and the corporate administration. You will maintain professional contacts with Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. in Japan, the subsidiaries in Europe and external lawyers in Europe. In addition you will work closely together with the General Legal Counsel on a wide range of other legal matters. Profile of a suitable candidate: 2 – 3 years experience as a Dutch or international lawyer or legal counsel Evident experience with intellectual property law, e.g. at a trade mark office Independent, pro-active, hands-on, business sense Good communication skills, multicultural mindset, fluent in English Proposition: Specialist position in the field of intellectual property law European headquarters of an international company, colleagues of different nationalities Close contact with the business and departments of Yamaha worldwide Professional guidance, opportunities for personal growth This position offers you the challenge to achieve your personal goals within a cosmopolitan setting.
